Three truck drivers of Indian origin have been arrested in Canada over a shooting in Brampton that police say arose from a dispute between rival tow-truck groups. Peel Regional Police (PRP) said the clash involved two competing groups from the South Asian community.
The arrested men have been identified as Manjot Bhatti (26), Navjot Bhatti (26), and Amanjot Bhatti (22). All three face multiple firearm-related charges. A fourth suspect, also believed to be of South Asian origin, remains at large. Investigators have appealed for public assistance, urging anyone with information about the individual to come forward.
Police released CCTV footage of the clash, which took place on 7 October in a car park. The footage was accompanied by an image of the outstanding suspect. In a statement, officers said: "Investigators are still seeking to identify individuals from the other involved group, primarily the outstanding suspect who discharged a firearm."
One person suffered minor injuries during the altercation, according to the PRP.

Detailing the timeline of events, the police said: "On October 7, 2025, at approximately 10.45 pm, an altercation took place between two separate groups in a parking lot in the area of McVean Drive and Castlemore Road, which resulted in firearms being discharged. There were minor physical injuries sustained by one of the involved individuals."
A “lengthy investigation” led officers to identify the three suspects. "On November 20, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Caledon. As a result, investigators located and arrested the suspects," the statement added.
Manjot faces several serious charges, including intentionally discharging a firearm recklessly, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, careless storage, carrying a concealed weapon, knowledge of unauthorised possession, and being an occupant of a vehicle with a firearm present. He was held for a bail hearing before later being released.
Navjot and Amanjot have each been charged with being occupants of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm inside. Both were released with conditions and will appear in court at a later date.
