India's diverse landscapes, including wetlands, forests, and lakes, provide the perfect environment attracting birds from different parts of the world. Here are 10 places to watch these radiant migratory birds in India.

1. Keoladeo National Park (Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary), Rajasthan
The park hosts around 400 species of birds and more during the winter season. Birds from Eurasia and other parts migrate here to avoid the harsh winters of the north.

2. Chilika Lake, Odisha
Asia's largest brackish water lagoon, located close to Odisha, attracts around 9 lakh migratory birds during the winter season. It is home to various types of raptors, including waterfowl, flamingos, ducks, Geese and herons.

3. Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary, Gujarat
Known for its diverse wildlife, Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary is India's largest wetland bird sanctuary. Alongside a nature walk, visitors are provided with bhavas(traditional wooden boats) to explore.

4. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, Kerala
Also known as Vembanad Bird Sanctuary, the sanctuary is located near the Indian Ocean, providing a moist and warm environment for migratory birds.

5. Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, Karnataka
The sanctuary is situated on the Kaveri River, which provides a suitable, warm and isolated environment for the birds to breed and escape the harsh winter weather.

6. Sultanpur National Park, Haryana
The freshwater lake and the grasslands here create a welcoming environment for birds escaping the inhospitable climate of regions like Siberia, Central Asia, and Europe in winter.

7. Little Rann of Kutch, Gujarat
As the monsoon arrives, the flat arid landscape here converts into a network of brackish, shallow waters and mudflats, which creates the perfect environment for the birds to eat, rest and breed in isolation.

8. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary (Goa)
The dense mangrove scrub here creates an ideal habitat which provides birds travelling from afar with food, shelter and appropriate isolation.

9. Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary, Arunachal Pradesh
The subtropical and temperate forests here form high altitudinal variation, which creates a diverse habitat. Visitors are recommended to visit during the monsoon or winter season.

10. Thattekad Bird Sanctuary (Kerala)
The Sanctuary is located at the intersections of major rivers and also provides rich food sources along with a warm and moist ecosystem, attracting diverse bird species.
