There are numerous natural wonders in Asia, and caves take the first place in this list. These caves, according to Agoda, are beautiful and mysterious, with their formation out of limestone and underground rivers, as well as some sacred shrines and ancient art pieces.

Son Doong Cave, Vietnam
Son Doong is the largest cave in the world, situated in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. It is a unique experience that a person cannot visit more than once in their life, as it is not only restricted by permits because of its delicate environment.

Batu Caves, Malaysia
Batu Caves is an attractive tourist destination that is found just outside Kuala Lumpur, creating a blend of natural beauty and religious importance. The limestone cave system is home to temples of Lord Murugan, where thousands of devotees come during the Thaipusam festival.

India, Ajanta and Ellora Caves
These heritage places in Maharashtra are regarded as the ancient rock-cut architecture and art in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Buddhist cave paintings at Ajanta were done in the 2nd century BCE, and Ellora has Hindu temples, Buddhist temples and Jain temples hewn out of the stone.

Tham Luang Cave, Thailand
In 2018, Tham Luang was in the international spotlight when a youth football team was trapped inside and was dramatically rescued. In addition to its history, the cave complex of Chiang Rai province provides spectacular limestone chambers and underground trails.

Reed Flute Cave, China
Reed Flute Cave, which is found in Guilin, is renowned because of its various colourful stalactites and stalagmites, and this is lit with artistic lights that further beautify the natural formations. It is a centuries-old tourist spot, the so-called Palace of Natural Arts.

Jeita Grotto, Lebanon
Although it is in Western Asia, geographically, Jeita Grotto, close to Beirut, is worth mentioning due to its spectacular underground rivers and limestone galleries. The cave is separated into an upper and lower part, which can be reached through a boat ride and a walkway.
