Nitish Kumar is a shameless man (nirlajj aadmi) hai with whom the people of Bihar are disgusted and want to oust from power”, claimed the Jan Suraaj founder
Earlier this week, Prashant Kishor urged the people of Bihar to stop supporting political parties based on ‘jaat’ (caste) and ‘bhaat’(free ration). He said this voting behaviour is causing the state's ongoing backwardness.
The IPAC founder, who has worked with political leaders of all hues in a professional capacity, claimed that his home state has been given a raw deal by successive regimes in Bihar as also the Narendra Modi government at the Centre.
Prashant Kishor officially launched the Jan Suraaj Party on October 2 this year. The Tarari by-election in Bihar will be his party's first electoral contest.
The I-PAC founder, whose first claim to fame was his handling of PM Modi's spectacular Lok Sabha polls campaign of 2014, made the scathing attack on the PM at a public meeting to mark the launch of his own political outfit Jan Suraaj Party.
The party was launched at Veterinary College Ground in the state capital in presence of many renowned figures, including former Union minister Devendra Prasad Yadav, diplomat-turned-politician Pavan Varma and ex-MP Monazir Hassan
Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj party, set for an October 2 launch, is expected to contest all 243 seats in the Bihar Assembly elections slated to be held in 2025.
Prashant Kishor said that Assembly elections in nine states over the next year will decide the stability of the Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre.
Kishor said that Rahul deserves the credit for helping the Congress post a better-than-expected performance in the general election.
He (Tejashwi Yadav) doesn't know the difference between GDP and GDP growth and he will tell how Bihar will improve, says Prashant Kishor.
Jan Suraaj will field a Hindu candidate in seats where the RJD’s candidate belongs to the Muslim community, Kishor said, dismissing the charge that he was attempting to split votes to benefit the BJP.
Kishor, who previously worked with Nitish Kumar, had earlier referred to the Bihar Chief Minister as a "paltumaar" (someone who frequently changes sides) and criticised his political inconsistencies.
Kishor suggested Congress should implement a caste census in states where they are currently in power, such as Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, and Telangana, and aim to reduce poverty there.
"In 2025, Jan Suraaj will contest on 243 seats and at least 40 women candidates will be nominated. We have also said that in 2030, 70-80 women will be made leaders from Jan Suraaj," Kishor stated.
Kishor alleged the JD(U) boss was fretting over his party's share in the Union council of ministers and using his clout with the BJP to settle scores with detractors at the state level, instead of leveraging his position to rehabilitate the state industrially.
Jan Suraaj is in the process of forming a political party and a total of eight separate state-level meetings of more than 1.5 lakh officials associated with the campaign across Bihar are being organised.
Ahead of the announcement of Lok Sabha election results on June 4, Kishor had predicted that the BJP would repeat its 2019 election performance and secure around 300 seats
