Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao (born 17 February 1954), popularly known as KCR, is an Indian politician and the founder-president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), formerly Telangana Rashtra Samithi
Earlier, BRS chief and former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had requested that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) reschedule his questioning in the phone-tapping case, citing a busy schedule with municipal elections.
BRS stands for Bharat Rashtra Samithi, the new name for the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. KCR rebranded the party in 2022 to expand its presence beyond Telangana and enter national politics.
