Imran Khan had filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court against the possibility of his military trial in connection with cases registered against him over his involvement in the May 9, 2023 violence in which supporters of his Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party allegedly attacked military installations following his arrest.
Khan was arrested on August 5 last year after his conviction in the first Toshakhana corruption case filed by the Election Commission of Pakistan. Since then, he has been in jail in different cases
