Bihar Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Exuding confidence in NDA winning 400+ seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha election, PM Modi said that the people of Bihar have resolved to help NDA win all 40 Lok Sabha seats. His remarks come hours after 22 prominent leaders of LJP quit the Chirag-led party and offered support to the Bihar grand alliance, which is part of INDIA bloc.
The BJP and LJP have forged a pre-poll alliance in the state and the latter has been allocated five Lok Sabha constituencies under seat-sharing pact.
Paswan, whose party has got five of the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar, also asserted he was "ready for any challenge" that came from his estranged uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras.
Bihar Lok Sabha Elections 2024: According to the finalised agreement, Nitish Kumar's JD (U) is slated to contest on 16 seats, while Chirag Paswan's LJP will compete for five seats. Additionally, Upendra Kushwaha and Jitan Ram Manjhi will each fight for one seat each.
Paswan announced this after a meeting with BJP chief J P Nadda here.
The development comes a day ahead of the ruling National Democratic Alliance meeting.
Union minister Nityanand Rai, a senior BJP leader from Bihar, had earlier met Paswan twice.
