Minister of Food Processing Industries Chirag Paswan on May 16 said that he will go back to Bihar but not out of greed for any post but to further the Bihari first policy. Pawan was speaking at the Moneycontrol's Powering Bharat Summit 2025.
"I could have become CM in Bihar in 2020 if I stayed in the alliance, but I prioritise policies over personal aspirations." he said. "My thinking is Bihar first, Bihari first."
When asked about if he still wishes to be become the Chief Minister of Bihar, Paswan said he does not have any wish to become the CM of Bihar. "My stomach is full, I have no greed."
President of the Lok Jan Shakti Party (LJSP in the Lok Sabha portal), Paswan come up with the slogan, ‘Bihar First, Bihari First’.
Further talking about the state of Bihar, Paswan said that Bihar has a proud history, however, despite the state's past success, Bihar now is counted as one of the backward states. "Even today a successful family in Bihar sends their kids to another state to study and work."
CM Nitish Kumar has to be credited for improving Bihar's state of affairs, but a lot more needs to be done and I want to go back to Bihar to further improve the state, he stated.
