The Powering Bharat Summit, organised by Network18 in collaboration with Moneycontrol, News18 India, and CNBC Awaaz, is underway. The event brings together key government ministers and industry leaders to chart India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation by 2047. At the Defending Bharat session with Moneycontrol's Managing Editor Dr Nalin Mehta, key defence leaders highlighted India’s growing technological edge. Lt Gen (Dr) Inderjit Singh of ideaForge Technology stated that Indian drones are now battle-tested and among the best in the world, underscoring the country's advancements in unmanned systems. DRDO's Dr Sudhir Kumar Mishra told Dr Mehta that the organisation is gearing up to unveil a hypersonic missile, marking a significant leap in India's strategic defence capabilities.

Mishra was speaking on a panel titled Defending Bharat: Indian Drones, Missiles, Defence Tech, alongside leading voices in the drone and defence tech ecosystem.
