Zoho on January 23 launched Zoho ERP, an AI-native enterprise resource planning platform, from Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu, positioning it as a homegrown alternative to global ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, Tally and Microsoft for Indian businesses. The company said Zoho ERP is designed for fast-growing organisations that have outgrown basic financial software but find traditional ERP platforms complex, expensive and dependent on external consultants. Zoho ERP brings together core financial management, billing, spend management, supply chain, omnichannel commerce and payroll on a single platform. It also includes asset management, budgeting and continuous financial close, along with strong audit trails and financial controls. The platform is built with native low-code and no-code capabilities, enabling businesses to customise workflows and applications internally, reducing implementation timelines and lowering total cost of ownership.
Unlike traditional ERP systems that add artificial intelligence as an external layer, Zoho ERP embeds AI across the platform. It offers automation, predictive insights, anomaly detection and voice-based assistance through Ask Zia, along with end-to-end visibility across finance and operations. Sivaramakrishnan Iswaran, Global Head of Finance and Operations BU at Zoho, said the product reflects how modern businesses operate. “Zoho ERP connects fintech, banking and business software while delivering built-in local compliance and an intuitive role-based experience,” he said.
Zoho ERP is also GST and e-invoicing compliant and supports revenue recognition aligned with IFRS 15 and ASC 606 standards. Its payroll module automates statutory compliance including EPF, ESI, TDS, Professional Tax and Labour Welfare Fund regulations. The platform includes industry-specific capabilities for manufacturing, distribution, retail and non-profit organisations. Manufacturing businesses can manage production planning, procurement and shop-floor execution, while distribution companies can track inventory, dealers and field operations. Retailers can manage in-store operations and payments, and non-profits can track donations and generate Form 10BD for tax filings. Zoho said Zoho ERP is available in India for immediate use and will be rolled out to other markets in phases.
