WWE2K26 announced: Release date, platforms, fighters and more

2K Games has announced WWE2K26, the newest instalment of the WWE game franchise. Developed by California-based Visual Concepts Entertainment Studios, the Standard Edition of WWE2K26 will launch on March 13, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (via Steam) and Nintendo Switch 2. There are three other WWE2K26 game editions–Standard, King of Kings, Attitude Era and Monday Night War– and preordering them gives you Early Access from March 6, 2026.

WWE2K26 features current World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk as the cover star of the Standard Edition.

WWE 2K26 comes packed with over 400 playable characters. It includes well-known names from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT, Legends and WWE Hall of Famers like John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Rhea Ripley, Roman Reigns, Iyo Sky, Andre the Giant, Bron Breakker, Randy Orton, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Seth Rollins, Logan Paul, Stephanie Vaquer, Eddie Guerrero, Liv Morgan, Bret “Hitman” Hart, Penta, Charlotte Flair, Rey Fénix, Rusev, Blake Monroe and more.

WWE2K26 adds four fan-requested match types: I Quit Match, 3 Stages of Hell Match, Dumpster Match and Inferno Match. It also adds new usable objects like shopping carts and thumbtacks. The latest game in the WWE2K franchise also features new Intergender Matches and 5, 6, and 8-man fights, and adds support for more match types.

With the new Ringside Pass, players can keep earning XP across all game modes (but not through online lobbies). They have the opportunity to win from 120 total rewards across 40 free tiers and 40 premium tiers. Those who reach tier 40 of the Ringside Pass Premium Season will be able to unlock Superstars, cosmetic and customisation items, VC, MyFACTION and The Island content, and more.

The Ringside Pass Premium adds all-new playable characters that aren't in the base game; these include current Superstars, Legends, Personas and some unexpected names. 2K has planned six Ringside Pass Seasons for the year, with the Ringside Pass Season 1 available at game launch.
