Meta has transformed the way we use WhatsApp by introducing the artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, Meta AI, on the platform. However, currently, WhatsApp only allows users to type, copy, and paste messages while interacting with Meta AI. Thankfully, things are going to change soon as with the latest beta update, WhatsApp now easily lets you forward messages or media directly to the Meta AI chatbot.
WhatsApp to simplify user interaction with Meta AI: Details
According to a new report by WhatsApp beta tester WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has rolled out a new feature in the WhatsApp beta for the Android 2.24.26.8 update that will eliminate the need for users to manually copy and paste messages into their conversations with Meta AI. Instead, WhatsApp users can now directly forward any message on the chatbot.
The report also reveals a new screenshot where an “Ask a question’ box is shown. This will let users add more context to the messages being forwarded by selecting the box at the bottom when forwarding a message to Meta AI. This added context will help Meta AI to provide a more accurate and personalised response to the content of the forwarded message.
Moreover, to check the authenticity of a forwarded message, users can ask custom questions to help Meta AI understand what they want to know. Additionally, with this feature, WhatsApp users are no longer required to save images and videos locally before sending them to Meta AI, as they can simply forward the content directly.
The rollout of this feature is expected to begin in the coming weeks for all WhatsApp users.
