After introducing the Vivo V50 and Vivo V50e smartphones in India, Vivo is expected to launch the Vivo V60 in India soon. Previously, the smartphone was spotted on various certification databases, and now a fresh leak from an X tipster has hinted at its launch date in India. The tipster also states that OriginOS, based on Android 16, will debut in the country alongside the phone.
Vivo V60: Expected launch date, design, and specifications
While Vivo hasn’t officially revealed the launch date or the existence of the V60 smartphone, a fresh leak from tipster Abhishek Yadav claims that the smartphone could launch in India on August 19. Further, the tipster adds that the Vivo V60 would mark the global debut of OriginOS, an operating system which has been exclusive to the company’s China lineup till now.
Further, another leak from tipster Yogesh Brar on X reveals that the Vivo V60 will be available in Mist Grey, Moonlit Blue, and Auspicious Gold color options. The renders showcased in the tweet reveal that the Blue color variant has a patterned design, while the Gold shade has a plain back. The phone also has a pill-shaped camera module that houses two camera sensors and Zeiss branding, like Vivo’s previous V series smartphones.
Earlier reports have suggested that the Vivo V60 will be identical to the Vivo S30, which was unveiled in the Chinese market in May. Therefore, it could have a 6.67-inch 1.5K (AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. Further, it is tipped to come with a Snapdragon 7 Gen with up to 12GB of RAM. For optics, the Vivo S30 has a triple rear camera unit comprising a 50MP, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, and an 8MP ultrawide camera. It houses a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging support.
