The Oppo Find N5 will not hold the title of the world's thinnest foldable phone for long, as Samsung is preparing to launch its slimmest foldable yet, yes we are talking about the Galaxy Z Fold 7. As per a report by Android Headlines, the Z Fold 7 will be just 4.5mm thick when open. However, the thinnest foldable phone right now, the Oppo Find N5, is even slimmer at 4.2mm when open.
Everything we know about Galaxy Z Fold 7
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, expected to launch in July 2025, will be thinner than previous models, with a thickness of about 9.5mm (including the camera bump) and around 9mm without it. However, there is some confusion about these numbers because the camera bump looks quite prominent in leaked images.
The Z Fold 7 will have a larger 8.2-inch inner display and a 6.5-inch outer screen, making it slightly bigger than its predecessor. Despite the thinner design, Samsung has reportedly managed to fit the same 4,400mAh battery inside. The phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and will feature an upgraded 200-megapixel main camera, along with a 10-megapixel telephoto and a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, similar to the Z Fold 6.
Samsung is also set to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7 at the same event. Earlier rumors suggested that a new trifold phone could also be revealed, but a well-known leaker claims that it will be announced later instead.
