Details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra have surfaced online ahead of the company’s next flagship launch. The information, first reported by Android Headlines, includes renders and specifications that outline design changes, hardware details, and software features expected on the device. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is likely to debut alongside the Galaxy S26 series at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in February.
Design and display
Leaked renders indicate that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a flat display, moving away from curved edges used in earlier models. The phone is said to sport a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED panel with narrow and uniform bezels. A centered hole-punch cutout for the front camera is visible at the top of the screen.
On the back, the device is shown with a triple rear camera setup placed vertically on a raised camera island. The LED flash sits next to the camera module. The design suggests the phone may wobble slightly when placed on a flat surface without a case. Volume and power buttons are positioned on the right edge, while the S Pen remains part of the design.
The leaked images show the Galaxy S26 Ultra in black and cobalt violet color options. Previous information suggests additional colors could include white, silver shadow, sky blue, and pink gold.
Specifications and performance
According to the leak, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will run Android 16 out of the box, layered with One UI 8.5. The phone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. One of the storage variants is tipped to offer 256GB of internal storage.
The device is reported to measure 163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9mm and weigh around 214 grams. A 5,000mAh battery is said to power the phone, with support for Wireless Power Share.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is tipped to feature a 200-megapixel primary rear camera. This is expected to be paired with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 10-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto sensor. On the front, the phone may include a 12-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
Launch timeline
Samsung has not officially confirmed these details. However, based on current leaks, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to launch in February.
