Samsung is gearing up to launch its next foldable smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 globally. Usually, the company also releases or announces a new One UI build with its flagship foldable smartphones every year. However, this year, Samsung could delay its typical release date plans, as it could launch the One UI 6.1.1 update packing a notable new S Pen-focused AI feature.
Tipster Ice Universe via a post on X claims that On UI 7 may not arrive early this year. Instead, Samsung will first focus on pushing One UI 6.1.1, which is a bigger update than usual, as it could include several new AI features, over the features available on current Samsung flagships.
Additionally, the tipster via another post on X, claims that Samsung will start rolling this update out to the Galaxy S24 series in August, with the upcoming Fold 6 also set to receive this update with major camera improvements alongside.
Samsung introduced new AI features in One UI 6.1 earlier this year, but we are yet to see these AI advancements on the S-pen. Ice Universe claims that this should change with the arrival of the upcoming One UI 6.1.1 update, with the new AI graffiti function. However, its functions and usability are still not revealed.
One UI 6.1.1 update could also bring improved system animation speed, with the wallpaper animation coming with a ‘larger scale’ for a more vibrant feel or look.
