Samsung has announced the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition, a special version of its latest foldable smartphone created for athletes participating in the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. As a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, Samsung said the device is designed to support athletes throughout their Games-time journey, from arrival at the Olympic Village to medal ceremonies.
The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition will be provided to nearly 3,800 Olympians and Paralympians from around 90 countries. Samsung stated that the device aims to help athletes stay connected, document key moments, and access Games-related services during the event.
What the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition offers
According to Samsung, the Olympic Edition is tailored specifically for athletes, with a focus on usability during competition and village life. The foldable design allows the phone to be used one-handed, while Flex Mode enables hands-free photos and videos, including during celebrations and podium moments.
The device also supports Samsung’s Victory Selfie feature, which will be integrated into official podium moments at Milano Cortina 2026. This allows athletes to capture their medal moments using the Olympic Edition device, offering a first-person perspective of the experience.
Games-time experience and connectivity
Samsung said the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition will support athletes with access to Games-time information and services. This includes communication tools, scheduling updates, and the ability to share content with family, fans, and national teams during the event.
In addition, selected National Olympic Committees will be able to use Samsung’s Victory Profile feature, which allows athletes to share personal stories and moments captured during the Games. These profiles will also include content shot using other Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Samsung’s Olympic partnership
Samsung’s association with the Olympic Games spans several decades, with the company supplying mobile technology to athletes at multiple editions of the Games. With the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition, Samsung continues its focus on foldable smartphones as part of its Olympic strategy.
