Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is gearing up its Turbo 5 series later this month, which is likely to include the standard Redmi Turbo 5, Turbo 5 Max and a Turbo 5 Pro Max model. Now, the top-of-the-line model in this lineup, the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro Max, has allegedly been spotted on the Geekbench database, revealing its performance and other hardware details. However, there is still some confusion over model numbers and naming conventions of all the models in the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro lineup.

Redmi Turbo 5 Pro Max: Expected performance details

Tech blogger Anvin (@ZionsAnvin) has shared new details of the purported Redmi Turbo 5 Pro Max on X, with the model number 2602BRT18C, which is apparently sourced from the Geekbench benchmarking platform. The listing confirms that the handset is running a new chipset, which has four cores running at 2.40GHz, three cores at 3.30GHz, and one prime core at 3.73GHz.

Moreover, the device has a single-core score of 2,656 points and a multi-core score of 8,377 points. The CPU and GPU combination suggests that the phone is powered by a high-end MediaTek chipset, which could be MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9500s SoC. MediaTek will likely announce this new processor on January 15, and Redmi’s launch could be made official in the coming days. It is also mentioned that the handset may come with a Mali G925 Immortalis MC12 GPU with 16GB of RAM, and will likely run on Android 16.

Previously, the alleged renders of the phone have already made their way online. These renders reveal that the Redmi Turbo 5 Pro Max will likely house a dual-camera setup on the back. However, instead of the usual vertical alignment seen on recent Redmi smartphones, the cameras are shown to be placed horizontally inside an oval-shaped camera module. The phone also appears to have a centre-aligned punch hole camera at the front with slim bezels.
