Realme on Tuesday announced the launch of the Realme 16 Pro series in India, introducing the Realme 16 Pro+ and Realme 16 Pro as its latest premium mid-range smartphones. The company says the new lineup is designed to appeal to young users, with a strong focus on portrait photography, distinctive design and flagship-inspired performance.

Realme 16 Pro series: Price, availability

The Realme 16 Pro+ is priced starting at Rs 39,999, while the Realme 16 Pro starts at Rs 31,999. Both devices will be available via Realme.com, Flipkart and offline retail stores, with launch offers including bank discounts, no-cost EMI options and exchange benefits.

Realme 16 Pro series: Key specs

At the centre of the series is a 200MP camera system that Realme is positioning as a segment-first for portrait photography. The Realme 16 Pro+ features a 200MP LumaColor camera paired with a 3.5× periscope telephoto lens, making it the only phone in its class to offer this combination. The setup supports a FullFocal Portrait Lens Kit ranging from 1× to 4×, alongside a ProDepth Bokeh Algorithm designed to deliver hair-level background blur and natural depth across focal lengths. TÜV Rheinland certification is aimed at ensuring consistent skin tones and colour accuracy.

The Realme 16 Pro+ also supports advanced zoom options including 7× close-ups, 10× stage shots and up to 120× Super Zoom, along with 4K FullFocal HDR video and a subject-tracking algorithm for smoother video capture. The standard Realme 16 Pro shares the same 200MP main sensor and multi-focal portrait system, bringing similar portrait capabilities to a lower price point.

On the software side, both phones introduce Realme’s Vibe Master Mode, which offers 21 customised tones and five signature portrait styles. AI-powered editing tools allow users to adjust styles and backgrounds using voice or text commands, while features such as AI LightMe and AI StyleMe add studio-style lighting and creative filters directly within the camera app.

Design is another major focus. Created in collaboration with renowned designer Naoto Fukasawa, the Realme 16 Pro series adopts what the company calls an “Urban Wild Design” language, inspired by natural textures such as wheat and pebbles. The Realme 16 Pro+ features a bio-based organic silicone back cover, certified by the USDA, and comes in Master Gold, Master Grey and an India-exclusive Camellia Pink. Both models offer IP69-rated water and dust resistance, with the Pro+ also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

In terms of performance, the Realme 16 Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and a 6.8-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 6,500 nits. The Realme 16 Pro runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max chipset and features a 6.78-inch 1.5K flat AMOLED display, also with a 144Hz refresh rate.

Both phones pack a 7,000mAh battery and run Realme UI 7.0 with a suite of AI features, including Google Gemini Live, AI Translation and AI Gaming tools.

Alongside the smartphones, Realme also launched the Buds Air8 at Rs 3,799 and the Realme Pad 3 tablet at Rs 26,999, expanding its ecosystem with a focus on audio and student-friendly productivity.
