Realme is set to launch its next two mid-range smartphones in the Realme 16 series in India soon. The company will announce the Realme 16 Pro 5G and 16 Pro+ 5G on January 6 in India, and ahead of the scheduled unveiling, a fresh leak has revealed a picture of Realme 16 Pro+ 5G’s retail box, which suggests the expected price of the handset. The company has also shared the camera and performance details of the smartphone.
Realme 16 Pro+ 5G: Expected price, specifications
Tech blogger Paras Guglani (@passionategeekz) has now shared leaked images of the retail box of the upcoming Realme 16 Pro+ 5G, revealing its price, dimensions, and display size. The phone is mentioned to have a retail price of Rs. 43,999 in the box. However, like most smartphones sold in India, the box price is typically higher than the actual offered sale price, with introductory bank and company offers expected to further bring down its effective retail price.
The company has already confirmed that the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G will ship with a 200MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP telephoto lens. The phone will be powered by a Snapdragon chipset, which the latest Geekbench listing suggests could be a tweaked version of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC. Further, the box images reveal that it will weigh about 203g and will sport a 17.27cm display, which converts to about 6.8 inches screen size.
On the software side, the Realme 16 Pro+ 5G will likely boot with Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16. The phone will be available in multiple colour options, including Master Gold, Camellia Pink, and Master Grey. Realme has also revealed that it has collaborated with the Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa to design the entire 16 series. More details about the lineup are expected to be revealed in the coming days.
