OnePlus is set to expand its Nord lineup with the launch of the OnePlus Nord 5, confirmed to arrive in India on July 8. The company also dropped a teaser revealing key details about the upcoming smartphone on X (formerly Twitter). Apart from that, several leaks and rumours have revealed a couple more details like design, display and even camera details of the phone. Here's everything we know so far.
Expected specificationsWhile OnePlus has yet to reveal the full spec sheet, several key details have surfaced. The OnePlus Nord 5 is expected to sport a 6.77-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, offering a smooth and sharp visual experience.
In terms of battery, the device is tipped to pack a 6,700mAh unit — among the largest in any OnePlus smartphone to date — along with support for 100W fast charging. On the software front, the Nord 5 is likely to run Android 15 out of the box.
The camera setup could include a 50MP main sensor with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens, while the front may house a 16MP selfie camera.
Although pricing details are yet to be announced, the Nord series has traditionally targeted the mid-range segment. With premium features like a large battery, high refresh rate display, and flagship-grade chipset, the OnePlus Nord 5 may set a new standard for budget smartphones in 2025.
