Taiwanese consumer electronics brand, MSI, has announced that it will now manufacture its flagship Katana and Crosshair laptop series in India. Both laptop series feature the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Graphics and will now be manufactured at the company’s production facility in Chennai, in partnership with Syrma SGS Technology. Until now, the brand had been producing models like the Modern and Katana series in India; however, the inclusion of its high-performance Crosshair lineup demonstrates MSI’s confidence in India’s manufacturing capabilities.

MSI to manufacture more gaming laptops in India

Mr. James Sung, NB Sales Director of India at MSI, confirmed this development and stated: "India is at the heart of our global growth strategy, and the incredible momentum we have seen here makes local manufacturing a natural progression. The inclusion of the Katana and Crosshair laptops with RTX 50 Series Graphics in our 'Make in India' portfolio demonstrates our dedication to delivering hi-tech innovation tailored for Indian consumers."

The MSI Katana Series is designed for balanced performance in both gaming and productivity tasks. It is powered by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, which also offer ray tracing and AI-based enhancements. These laptops also come with 144Hz refresh rate displays. Meanwhile, the Crosshair series also comes with RTX 50 Series Graphics and high refresh rate displays with futuristic e-sports-inspired design.

With the Katana and Crosshair now being produced in India, MSI is aiming to offer global standards of gaming performance to Indian buyers, while also aligning with the company’s role in shaping India’s rapidly growing electronics, by producing flagship products locally.
