Motorola is set to expand the Razr 50 foldable series, as the company is set to launch the vanilla Motorola Razr 50 in India soon. The brand has confirmed on social media platform X that this upcoming foldable smartphone will launch on September 9 and has placed a microsite on the e-commerce platform Amazon. It is also confirmed to come with a 3.6-inch cover-screen display, similar to last year’s Motorola Razr 40 Ultra.
Motorola Razr 50: Expected features
According to the Motorola Razr 50 product listing on Amazon, the smartphone will have one of the brightest cover screens with 1700 nits of peak brightness and 90Hz refresh rate support. Moreover, the cover screen will have 100% DCI P3, SGS Eye Protection, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Protection. Motorola will also integrate Gemini AI features into the smartphone, like its elder sibling the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra.
The Razr 50 has already made its China debut this year and it gets a 6.9-inch main foldable display with 120Hz refresh rate support and 3000 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset. It is backed by a 4,200 mAh battery with 30W fast charging and 15 wireless charging support.
Motorola also claims to have tested the phone to withstand over 400,000 folds and it has a redesigned hinge for added durability. The Motorola Razr 50 has a starting price of CNY 3,699 (around Rs 47,000) in China and we expect it to be launched at a similar price here in India.
