Microsoft unveils new Surface Pro, Surface Laptop, its first Copilot+devices

On the eve of its annual developer conference — Build — Microsoft has unveiled new generation of PCs called Copilot Plus. The first two Copilot PCs are the all-new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop.

Surface Laptop Copilot+: Key specs

Microsoft claims that it has redesigned the Surface Laptop from inside out. There’s an all-new PixelSense touchsctreen display with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR technology, Dolby Vision IQ and Adaptive color technology.

The new Surface Laptop comes in two screen sizes — 13.8-inch and 15-inch. Microsoft Surface Laptop comes in four colours —Platinum, Black, Dune and Sapphire.

The Surface Laptop has a really powerful NPU is what performs all the AI multitasking with ease. According to Microsoft, the new Surface Laptop is 86% faster than the Laptop 5. What’s more it claims to deliver up to 22 hours of battery life on the 15-inch variant and 20 hours on the 13.8-inch variant.

Microsoft Surface Laptop also features Wi-Fi 7. The new Surface Laptop has a Full HD Surface Studio Camera that supports AI-powered Windows Studio Effects like Automatic Framing, Portrait Blur, Creative Filters and Voice Focus.

The Surface Laptop starts at $999 and is available for pre-orders in the US, starting today. It will be available for users from June 18.

Surface Pro Copilot+: Key specs

The all-new Surface Pro also comes powered by the Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus processors. Microsoft claims it is 90% faster than the previous generation Surface Pro. It has a 13-inch OLED display with HDR and has Wi-Fi 7 for connectivity. There’s an ultra-wide quad HD front facing camera with AI-powered Windows Studio Effects like Automatic Framing, keep you in focus, even as you move around your space.  There’s also a 10MP Ultra HD rear-facing autofocus camera supports 4K video enabling users to capture and edit on the Surface Pro.
