LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is an upcoming open-world action-adventure video game inspired by the several versions of Batman featured across different media over the years, including the ones from Rocksteady Studios’ Arkham series games, Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy, Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” and even Michael Keaton’s Batman from The Flash (2023). In LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, players will become a part of “Bruce Wayne’s epic journey to become the hero of Gotham City”. The game features a story-based campaign that takes players from The Dark Knight’s origin to his rise to legend. As per Warner Bros. and TT Games, the new LEGO Batman game will “bring together iconic moments from the Caped Crusader’s 86-year history in film, television, comic books, and games, and jam-packed with Batman nostalgia, DC lore, and TT Games’ signature brand of fun-filled LEGO humor.”
LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight: Playable characters and their signature weapons/items
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight features seven playable characters from the DC Comics universe. They are Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Jim Gordon, Catwoman and Talia al Ghul.
Each DC character in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight comes with unique skill sets, fighting combos, and gadgets. For example, Batman will have his Batclaw, which he can use to perform satisfying Bat-slams, his Explosive Gel to demolish walls and weak structures, and his Grapple Gun for fast getaways, among other tools. In the same vein, Jim Gordon will have a foam sprayer, Robin will use a line launcher, and Catwoman will have her signature whip.

In LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, players will get to explore the open world of Gotham City. The game features some of the iconic Gotham City locations like Arkham Asylum, Ace Chemicals, Gotham Botanical Gardens and Wayne Tower. Puzzles, crimes, challenges, surprises and rewards await the explorers “around every corner, alleyway, and rooftop” in Bruce Wayne’s city.
The upcoming Lego Batman game also features “a variety of vehicles, including a range of Batmobiles and Batcycles.” These would certainly help in traversing the city faster.

You can play LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight solo or team up with a friend or family member through two-player local couch cooperative gameplay only. Online co-op will not be available for the game.
