Kingdom Come: Deliverance launched on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, GOG and Humble Store in 2018, and later arrived on Nintendo Switch in 2024. The narrative-driven open-world role-playing game is set in medieval Bohemia. You play as Henry of Skalitz, son of a blacksmith, whose family and village become the casualties of a civil war.
The game features a non-linear story, and your decisions have consequences. You’ll meet real historical characters in the game. Combat is diverse, and so are the weapons. In Kingdom Come: Deliverance, you get to use both melee and ranged weapons. Stealth tactics can also be used by Henry. You won’t be just fighting in medieval Bohemia; you will also be immersing yourself in the stories of the people you meet. The open-world RPG allows you to bribe, persuade, seduce, and even threaten people. You can also steal items.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance got a sequel in 2025 called Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, which sold 2 million copies in under 2 weeks after launching on February 4, 2025. A massive success, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II launched for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and was even nominated under the Game of the Year category at The Game Awards 2025.
