JioHotstar download: How to watch live cricket on your TV, smartphone, laptop and tablet

JioHotstar is finally here. The new OTT platform as a part of the JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar merger is now live and the company has also introduced three main subscription plans for users to choose from.

Talking about the plans, the cheapest plan is mobile only and it costs Rs 149 per month. Then there’s a Super plan with access to 2 devices and a Premium plan that offers access to four devices, Dolby ATMOS and Vision support and an ad-free viewing experience.

If you are planning to start watching content on JioHotstar, here’s everything you need to know.

Available content
JioHotstar includes everything from Disney+ Hotstar and JioCinema, including Hotstar Specials, Disney, HBO, Peacock, Paramount+, Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars and National Geographic.

TV Channels
In addition to this, users can watch shows from TV channels as well.

Subscription required
To start watching content on JioHotstar, you’ll need an active subscription. If you are a new user, you can choose from one of the three plans. If you are an existing JioCinema or Hotstar user, your existing subscription plan will be carried over.

How to access JioHotstar
JioHotstar is available across all devices and platforms. You can either use the app on your TV, smartphone and tablet or access it via the web.

Downloading the app
Open Google Play Store or Apple App Store and search JioHotstar app. Tap Install from the app page to download the app. Note, if you had the Disney+ Hotstar app on your phone, it has been rebranded to JioHotstar now. So, you don’t need to download the app again. The same applies to the TV version of the app

Using the web
If you don’t want the app, then JioHotstar is also available on the web. You can visit the website and watch the content.

Login and get started
That’s it. Simply enter your login credentials and login into the app to start watching content on JioHotstar app.
