Indian companies and startups continue to strengthen their presence at CES, the world’s largest and most influential technology showcase, reflecting India’s growing role in the global innovation ecosystem as per a report by PTI. Senior organisers of the event have welcomed this trend, saying they expect even broader Indian participation in the years ahead.

Speaking at a press conference during CES 2026, John Kelley, vice president and show director of CES, said the increasing visibility of Indian startups on the show floor is a positive development. Responding to a question from PTI, Kelley said that more Indian companies are now actively participating at CES, adding that the organisers are keen to see this momentum continue in future editions.

Kelley specifically highlighted Bengaluru-based technology and wearables company Ultrahuman as one of the Indian brands drawing attention at this year’s event. He said the CES team was excited to welcome Ultrahuman, which has built a strong reputation in health-focused consumer technology. The company’s portfolio includes what it claims is the world’s lightest sleep-tracking wearable, along with a continuous glucose monitoring platform and a preventive blood testing solution aimed at proactive health management.

CES 2026 is seeing participation from an estimated 150 countries, underlining its status as a truly global technology platform. Kelley noted that nearly 40 per cent of attendees and exhibitors come from outside the United States, a figure that continues to rise as international startups and companies view CES as a critical launchpad for global visibility.

Produced and owned by the Consumer Technology Association, CES 2026 began on Tuesday and will run through January 9. The event brings together major global corporations, early-stage startups, investors, policymakers and industry leaders to showcase next-generation technologies aimed at addressing real-world challenges. More than 4,100 exhibitors are presenting innovations spanning artificial intelligence, digital health, accessibility, mobility, energy, robotics, immersive entertainment, enterprise technology and quantum computing.

CTA executive chair and chief executive Gary Shapiro said this year’s edition features over 4,000 exhibitors, more than 1,300 speakers and upwards of 400 conference sessions. He described CES as a platform where innovation accelerates, partnerships take shape and emerging technologies are translated into real-world applications. Shapiro said the strong global turnout reinforces CES’s role as a meeting point for ideas that will shape the future of technology.

Indian startups gain visibility on the global CES stage

According to exhibitor information listed on the CES website, several Indian companies and organisations are participating at CES 2026. These include AI-driven MedTech firm aabo, Bhopal-based pseudo-reality company ArvyaX Technologies, industry body CMAI Association of India, Gurugram-based smartwatch brand Noise, automotive technology company Sona Comstar and global technology services firm Zoondia.

Kelley also recalled that CES introduced its first dedicated Indian pavilion on the show floor in 2024, a move that helped spotlight Indian innovation more prominently. That initiative appears to be paying dividends, with a growing number of Indian exhibitors returning or debuting at the event.

Noise vice president for product devices Hamish Patel told PTI that the company was proud to compete on a global stage. He said Noise has reached a level of maturity where it handles most of its research, design and manufacturing in India, allowing it to present products at CES that can compete with leading global brands.

At Eureka Park, the CES zone dedicated to emerging startups, ArvyaX Technologies is showcasing its work in pseudo-reality and robotics. Founder and chief executive Shalabh Bhatnagar said participating at CES was both a personal milestone and a moment of national pride. He described the opportunity as representing not just his company, but Indian innovation on a global platform, emphasising that ArvyaX’s technology is both made and innovated in India.

Bhatnagar said he first attended CES in 2017 and had long aspired to return with his own company. For him, CES represents the ultimate stage to present innovation to the world, reinforcing the growing confidence of Indian startups in competing at the highest international level.
