Huawei’s upcoming flagship phone lineup, the Mate 80 series, is tipped to launch in China soon. It is expected to comprise the Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, and Mate 80 Pro+ smartphones, and will succeed last year's Huawei Mate 70 lineup. Now, new alleged images of the series give us an early look at their design, suggesting a revamped camera module, which will likely provide a big change from the Mate 70 lineup.
Huawei Mate 80 series: Expected designA Weibo tipster, known as Factory Manager Guan, has shared alleged hands-on images of the Huawei Mate 80 series, showcasing its entire back design. The purported handsets can be seen with a redesigned centre-aligned circular camera island located at the top of the rear panel, with a thick-edged ring around the module.
In one of these images, the Huawei Mate 80 Pro can be seen in a bright yellow shade, with two volume buttons and the power button on the right. Further, the triple camera setup on the back suggests that the lenses are arranged in a triangle pattern. The biggest square-shaped camera lens, which is in the centre of the module, could be a new periscope lens, while the other two sensors are presumably the main and ultrawide sensors.
The leak also gives us a look at the company's official cases for the Huawei Mate 80 series, with the redesigned camera module hole, with cutouts matching the purported design. We can expect the Mate 80 series to launch in the coming weeks in China.
