Honor since making its comeback in the Indian market has launched multiple phones and accessories, and now is gearing up to launch the Honor 200 series on July 18. Ahead of the launch, the company has revealed key details about both the smartphones in the series and has placed a microsite on Amazon.
Honor 200 series: Expected specs, featuresThe upcoming Honor 200 series will comprise the standard Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro. Both smartphones are expected to come with a slim design, measuring just 7.7mm in thickness. The Honor 200 series will also come with a quad-curved display, which we also saw on last year’s Honor 90.
The vanilla Honor 200 is equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while the Honor 200 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. The series also comes with a big 5,200 mAh battery, with the Pro model supporting 100W wired charging and the standard one with 67W.
Honor has also confirmed the camera details of the Honor 200 series. Both smartphones will come with a triple rear camera setup. The Honor 200 Pro comprises a 50MP H9000 portrait main sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX 856 telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle angle camera.
On the front, the Pro model will come with dual cameras including a 50MP selfie camera with an f/2.1 aperture and a secondary camera which will be optimized for India skin tones. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording. Additionally, Honor has included various AI photography features such as AI Portrait Engine, AI Scene Recognition, AI Auto Capture, AI Night Video, and more in the camera app.
Honor 200 series: Expected priceIn the European market, the Honor 200 is priced at GBP 499.99 (around Rs 53,500) and the Honor 200 Pro at GBP 699.99 (around 74,800). However, the Indian pricing is expected to be lower than the European pricing, and we can expect both smartphones to be launched under Rs 50,000.
