Google's upcoming Pixel 10 series launch event is a little over a month away, as multiple reports have confirmed that the Mountain View, California-based tech giant will unveil its new flagship lineup on August 20, which is much sooner than its regular October release timeline. Like last year, we are expecting to see the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold to be launched.
A new report has now revealed the official specifications of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and while the overall formula doesn’t seem to be changing much, it is now expected to come with slightly improved hardware changes, giving us a glimpse of what Google may reveal next month.
Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold: Expected specifications
According to a report by Android Headlines, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold will come with a 6.4-inch OLED cover display and an 8-inch foldable main screen with up to 3000 nits of peak brightness. The slight increase in the size of the cover display could be due to the narrowing of the bezels and the hinge. Moreover, the display is rated to offer 3,000 nits of peak brightness, which is also a slight upgrade over the 2,700 nits offered by the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
Further, the report adds that the foldable will pack a 5,015mAh battery, which is a big improvement over the 4,650mAh battery available on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, marking a 7% increase. It is rated to support 23W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Like the rest of the lineup, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is tipped to run on a 3nm Tensor G5 processor, coupled with 16GB of RAM.
As for optics, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold is expected to share a lot of similarities with its predecessor, coming with a 48MP main camera, a 10.5MP ultrawide camera, and a 10.8MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. On the cover and main display, the phone will likely house a 10MP selfie camera.
