Google is taking another step towards making Search more interactive with new agentic features in AI Mode that can now help users book event tickets and beauty or wellness appointments directly through conversational prompts.
The company says users in the U.S. who are part of Search Labs can start using these expanded AI capabilities from today. The feature lets you make detailed requests; for example, “Find me two affordable standing tickets for the upcoming Shaboozey concert.” AI Mode will then scour multiple platforms for real-time options, filter them according to your preferences, and show a shortlist of ticket prices with direct links to complete the booking.
Google initially introduced agentic capabilities in AI Mode in August with restaurant reservations. Users could specify conditions like party size, cuisine, and timing, and the system would locate available tables across popular booking services. The latest expansion brings that same convenience to live events and personal care bookings.
According to Google, these upgrades are part of its ongoing effort to make Search more practical and action-driven. AI Pro and Ultra subscribers also get higher usage limits for these tasks.
On its Search Labs page, Google said, “Our focus remains on connecting people to reliable, high-quality information. AI Mode builds on our core safety and quality systems, but it’s still experimental and may not always get things right.”
First launched in March, AI Mode represents Google’s attempt to compete with platforms like Perplexity AI and ChatGPT Search. The feature has since rolled out to more than 180 countries and has evolved rapidly with new additions such as a Canvas tool for study planning and an integration with Google Lens that lets users ask questions about what’s on their screen.
