Fortnite players band together to destroy Elon Musk’s Tesla Cybertruck in the game

Fortnite kicked off its Summer Road Trip on July 29 which will continue till August 6. The battle royale game promised players that at the end of the Summer Road Trip, they’ll get the Tesla Cybertruck bundle and the Summer Road Trip-exclusive Baja Off-Road Decal as rewards. However, some Fortnite players aren’t happy to see the Tesla Cybertruck in the game and plan to destroy all the Tesla Cybertrucks they see, by teaming up with rivals.

The Fortnite community is not too happy with the inclusion of the Tesla Cybertruck in the game and community members have been urged to team up against those who are seen riding the Tesla Cybertruck in the game. Their objective would be to destroy as many of the Tesla Cybertrucks as they spot in the game and rid Fortnite of Elon Musk’s Tesla Cybertrucks.

In a post on X, user @dawnyaaan wrote:

“i propose a new fortnite rule: if you see someone in a cybertruck, you are now in a truce with everyone else in the lobby until they’re taken out. this repeats as many times as necessary until everyone that bought this stupid thing is gone. normal gameplay proceeds”.

It should be noted that Fortnite hasn’t made the Tesla Cybertruck Bundle exclusive to the Summer Road Trip event. The Tesla Cybertruck Bundle can still be purchased from the Fortnite Shop starting August 6 with v30.40. Since it is a purchasable item and will remain purchasable even after the Summer Road Trip ends, it seems some players don't like Epic Games’ decision to partner with Tesla and bring the Cybertruck to the game as a purchasable item.

To be a part of the Fortnite Summer Road Trip event, all that Fortnite players need to do is team up in Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, Festival, and other creator-made islands for the road trip.

The Tesla Cybertruck Bundle includes the Tesla Cybertruck Car Body, CyberCamo Cybertruck Decal, Matte Black Cybertruck Decal, Stainless Steel Cybertruck Decal, OMG Cybertruck Decal and Cyber Wheels.

Will Epic Games take the Tesla Cybertruck off the Fortnite Store shelves? Only time will tell.
