Upcoming flagship phones

The year 2025 has been busy for smartphones, with new launches nearly every other day. The year started with the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, followed by smartphones from OnePlus, Nothing, Vivo, iQoo, and more. However, the big players are yet to make their debut, and most of their launches are slated for later this year.

From Apple’s iPhones to Samsung’s next-generation foldable devices, there’s a lot on the horizon. The Pixel 10 series is on the way, and Nothing has already started teasing its next flagship, the Phone (3).

If you’re into flagship smartphones, there’s plenty to look forward to. Here’s a look at all the flagship smartphones launching later this year and what you can expect from them.

Apple iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max
The flagship smartphone list is incomplete without the Pro-iPhone models. In 2025, the torch of the iPhone flagship is expected to be carried by the iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Pro.

Apple iPhone 17 Pro: What to expect

Reports and renders from well-known tipsters suggest that the entire iPhone 17 lineup will come with a redesigned camera island that stretches across the width of the phone. It is said to feature a 48MP telephoto sensor alongside two other cameras.

The phone is expected to be powered by the A19 Pro chip. Built on a 3nm process, the A19 Pro is slated to bring faster speeds, better power efficiency and improved gaming and computing performance. The phone will retain Face ID and a Dynamic Island display, while adding a few tweaks to its form factor.

Apple iPhone 17 Pro: Launch date
Apple is expected to announce its iPhone 17 series around September 2025. The exact launch date has not been revealed yet.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra

People have been asking Samsung for the ‘Ultra’ version of the Z Fold 7 and that’s finally happening as the company has already started teasing the ‘Ultra’ monkier for its foldable smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra: What to expect
Tipsters say the Z Fold 7 will come with a thinner and lighter form, making it more comfortable to carry. The phone is rumoured to feature a large 8.2-inch foldable AMOLED main display and a 6.5-inch cover display.

It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, designed to handle heavy applications, games and multi-tasking with ease. The phone might also come with a 200MP main camera — a first for foldable smartphones — allowing it to capture rich and detailed photos. Galaxy AI is once again going to be the main highlight and the company has already dropped the AI-powered camera for the upcoming foldable smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra: Launch date
The Z Fold 7 is expected to launch sometime in June 2025. Exact dates are yet to be revealed.

Nothing Phone 3

Nothing Phone 3 has been in the limelight lately with all the new teasers being dropped by the company. The Nothing Phone 3 is expected to bring powerful hardware under a unique, minimalistic design in 2025.

Nothing Phone 3: What to expect
Based on leaks and rumours, Phone 3 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The phone is rumoured to have a 6.77-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3,000 nits — making it suitable for gaming and multimedia.

The company has already teased the removal of the Glyph lighting this time in favour for a more understated back. It will pack a 5,000mAh battery with wired and wireless charging. The main camera is rumoured to be a 50MP sensor, alongside an ultrawide and a telephoto.

Nothing Phone 3: Launch date
The phone is set to launch on July 1, 2025.

Google Pixel 10 Series

The Pixel 10 Series, which comprises the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, is expected to debut in the latter half of 2025.

Google Pixel 10 Series: What to expect

Tipsters say the phone will be powered by Google’s custom Tensor G5 processor, manufactured by TSMC. The phone is expected to come with a redesigned camera bar and a telephoto sensor on the base Pixel 10 — a first for the non-Pro phone.

Design-wise, the phone sticks to the style of the Pixel 9, adding new colour variants and retaining the 50MP main sensor alongside ultra-wide and telephoto cameras. The phone will ship with Android 15 and promises at least 7 years of software and security updates — a key selling point for many.

The base and Pro models are expected to launch at the same price as their predecessors, while the XL might be a bit more expensive and the Fold is rumoured to a little more affordable than the last generation.

Google Pixel 10 Series: Launch date
Google is expected to launch the Pixel 10 series later this year, but no official date has been confirmed as of now.

Vivo X200 FE

Compact phones are making a comeback this year. The OnePlus 13s arrived and now Vivo is preparing for a new flagship compact smartphone called Vivo X200 FE. The company was previously rumoured to bring in the X200 Pro Mini, but reports now suggest it has shifted its plans. Instead, it’s all set to launch the Vivo X200 FE — a phone that promises strong performance and camera capabilities at a more accessible price.

Vivo X200 FE: What to expect

The Vivo X200 FE is expected to feature a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2640 x 1216) and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The phone’s design is said to blend flat edges with 2.5D curved glass, adding a subtle softness to its appearance.

Inside, the X200 FE is rumoured to be powered by a slightly toned-down version of the flagship processor — the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e. Although it’s a lower-clocked variant of the Dimensity 9300+, it’s expected to handle daily tasks, gaming, and heavy workloads without much trouble, thanks to Vivo’s software optimisations.

For photography, the phone will come with two 50MP rear cameras — a main sensor alongside a telephoto — and a 50MP selfie camera on the front. There’s no ultra-wide this time, which highlights a more simplified approach to the phone’s camera capabilities.

Vivo X200 FE: Launch date
Vivo has not revealed pricing for the phone or the launch date as of now. We are expecting that it will launch somewhere late June or early July.

Poco F7

The F7 is expected to be a strong contender for those who want flagship-like performance without paying flagship prices.

Poco F7: What to expect
Tipsters say it will be a rebadged Redmi Turbo 4 Pro and come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. It is rumoured to feature a large 6.83-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The phone might pack a huge 7,550mAh battery with 90W wired charging and a 50MP main sensor alongside an 8MP ultrawide. It will likely come with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Poco F7: Launch date
Poco F7 is also one of the most-awaited flagship smartphones. However, there’s no official date for now.
