US-based game developer and publisher Bethesda recently announced the release date for Fallout 76’s upcoming free major update called “Burning Springs”. The Burning Springs update launches for all Fallout 76 players on December 2 and will take them to a post-nuclear Ohio.
As per Bethesda, players will explore the “charred remains of Ohio, conflagrated during the Great War into a place now called Burning Springs.” The game developer said that there’s something for everyone in the Burning Springs update, be they newcomers or old-timers.
Fallout 76’s Burning Springs update features “threats both familiar to fans of the franchise and some entirely new, be it a vicious local breed of Deathclaw or the Rust King, a Super Mutant warlord ruling the area with an iron fist (and taste for arena combat),” Bethesda said in a blog post.
Bounty Hunting Missions and The Ghoul
The update introduces Bounty Hunting missions to Fallout 76. With this, players will now be able to take up contracts to hunt down Appalachia’s most wanted people. The update also features “The Ghoul” from the Fallout television series, voiced by actor Walton Goggins himself. Players will get to interact with The Ghoul in Highway Town.
“Should they have the guts (and trigger finger) for a Bounty Hunting mission, players can take a few wanted grunts off The Ghoul’s hands and keep the rewards for themselves – heck, The Ghoul may even reward your aptitude with new bounties to track,” Bethesda added.
