Shared Outpost Container to quickly share items between outposts

The Free Lanes update introduces the Shared Outpost Container to Starfield Outposts. Starting April 7, Starfield players will be able to install an outpost container at each of their outposts; these allow them to quickly and easily share items and resources between outposts. With this shared container, the items players drop in one will be accessible at any other outpost of theirs.

Database system to find outposts quickly

The Free Lanes update will add a new Database system to help players find all of their other outposts quickly. Also, the Database also acts as a repository for everything players have learned in the space RPG. This includes information on locations travelled to, recipes gathered, and resources and ingredients researched and spots where they can be found. Players can even use the new Database system to Favorite the planets they visit often. The new Database system can be accessed from your Starfield character menu.

An Outpost Pet

The upcoming Starfield update adds a new Milliewhale outpost pet. This alien pet will live in your chosen outpost and can perform tricks. Players can change its colours to match their personal aesthetics. But to get the Milliewhale outpost pet, players need to first complete the “Housesitting” quest in Anchorpoint.

Starborn Abilities

The Free Lanes update allows players to rank up their unlocked Starborn abilities using Quantum Essence without starting New Game+ and finding more temples. They can do so by marking the Quantum Essence as Favorite from the Powers Menu.

Quantum Entanglement Device

For New Game+, the Free Lanes update adds a new Quantum Entanglement Device to carry your favorite items into a new playthrough, without starting from the very beginning. The Quantum Entanglement Device can be built in The Lodge after building the Armillary with all the Artifacts; all player items will be available in The Lodge in the next playthrough. Starfield players can also expand the space in their Quantum Entanglement Device using Quantum Essence.
