CES is the tech playground where we see a lot of innovations every year. This year is no different with several eye-catching gadgets and devices. One such product is Halliday’s new smart glasses.
The startup has showcased its smart glasses which comes with world's smallest optical module, which gives users a ‘private’ display and ensure there’s no light leakage or rainbow patterns.
At just 35g, Halliday says that these smart glasses are lighter than most sunglasses and also feature a retro Wayfarer design. They can also function as prescription glasses, accommodating various lens types.
AI features in smart glasses
One of the standout features of these smart glasses is the proactive AI assistant. Unlike traditional voice assistants that require explicit commands, Halliday's AI anticipates the user's needs and provides relevant information and insights in real-time. In a video shared by Halliday, the company illustrates its AI features. For instance, during a meeting, the glasses can analyse the conversation and offer summaries or fact-checking without the user having to ask.
These glasses can translate 40 different languages, provide real-time directions, and even play music — the lyrics are displayed on the screen. The smart glasses come bundled with a smart ring, which can be used to control the spectacles.
Price and availability
The company has announced that pre-orders will begin at the end of CES, with shipping expected to start before March 2025. The price is estimated to be between $399 and $499. Interested buyers can pre-reserve the glasses now.
