After a temporary global outage on November 12, Canva is back up and running, allowing users to resume editing and downloading designs on the popular graphic design platform. Earlier in the day, users worldwide reported disruptions, including difficulties accessing saved projects and delays in completing time-sensitive tasks. The outage, which Canva acknowledged on its status page as a “504 Gateway Time-out,” had impacted businesses, marketers, and content creators who rely heavily on Canva for daily design needs.
According to Canva's official statement, the team was aware of the issue and began investigating promptly to restore functionality. At 20:29 AEDT, they posted an update notifying users of the error, which temporarily restricted access to the platform. Users had taken to social media to express their frustration over the outage, especially those facing deadlines or engaged in ongoing projects.
Canva’s prompt action in addressing the issue has allowed users to regain access to their projects and continue their work. With the platform restored, users can now edit, save, and download designs as usual. Canva has not provided any details on the cause of the outage.
