Boat's new tracker is AirTag for Android, here's all the features it offers

Boat, the domestic electronics and lifestyle brand, has added a new product to its smart device line-up with the unveiling of the Boat TAG, a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) tracker designed for Android users. The device will help users in locating misplaced items like luggage, keys, wallets, handbags, and others using Google’s Find My Device Network.

Although the Boat TAG’s MRP is listed at Rs 2,999, it is currently available for Rs 1,299 as part of a launch offer. The tracker is available in the sole black colour option and carries a 1-year warranty. It will be available for purchase starting February 24 through boAt’s official website, Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, and select retail outlets.

The Boat TAG includes semi-real-time global location tracking, utilizing Google's Find My Device to help you find or locate your valuable items. It is powered by Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, and this innovative air tag features an 80-decibel alarm for conveniently finding an item within a 10-meter range. The alarm stopped by pressing the physical button on the device or through Google’s Find My app.

In terms of privacy, the company has integrated a smart feature that can also detect the presence of other trackers nearby. In addition, the company is also offering an extra battery unit in the package, which means you won't have to charge it frequently, with the dedicated one-year battery life. To address privacy and security concerns, the tracker includes a feature for unknown tracker alerts, which helps prevent unauthorized tracking.
