The first-person action shooter franchise Doom has been around for around three decades, starting with 1993’s Doom video game, developed and published by id Software for DOS. In 2016, id Software and Bethesda Softworks rebooted the Doom franchise with a title they simply named ‘Doom’. The next game in the Doom franchise is going to be Doom The Dark Ages which serves as a prequel to 2016’s Doom and 2020's Doom Eternal and will take you back to the Middle Ages (the Dark Ages or the medieval times). It was unveiled during 2024’s Xbox Games Showcase.
‘Doom: The Dark Ages’ is a single-player first-person action shooter currently under development by id Software. It will be published by Bethesda Softworks.
