Apple may launch these 3 new products as a surprise in 2025
Every autumn, Apple sticks to a familiar script: new iPhones, fresh Apple Watches, and the occasional iPad or Mac refresh. This year will be no different, but alongside the usual upgrades, Apple is preparing a few uncommon product updates that do not come around often.
HomePod mini Apple’s smallest smart speaker has gone unchanged since its 2020 debut, save for new colour options in 2021 and the Midnight variant in 2024. This year, the HomePod mini should finally see a proper update with the S9 chip, a major leap from the current S5. The S9 is based on cores from the A16 Bionic, offering more headroom for processing audio and smart home functions. Like the new Apple TV, it is also expected to carry Apple’s in-house Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip.

Apple TV 4K The last Apple TV refresh came in 2022 with the A15 chip, a slimmer body, and a USB-C Siri Remote. This fall, the set-top box is tipped for its first meaningful update in three years. Rumours suggest the inclusion of the A17 Pro chip, which could open the door for Apple Intelligence features on the big screen. Apple is also expected to debut its first in-house Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip inside this model. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has previously hinted at the possibility of a lower starting price, which would make the Apple TV more appealing in a crowded streaming hardware market.

AirTag 2 The long-rumoured AirTag refresh may finally arrive this fall. AirTag 2 is said to feature a new Ultra Wideband chip with triple the range for Precision Finding, alongside tighter privacy protections. Apple will likely retain the familiar design and $29 price point, keeping it accessible while addressing key performance and security demands.
