If rumours are to be believed then Apple is gearing up to release the iPhone SE 4, the latest iteration of its relatively affordable smartphone. The rumoured device is set to bring a range of significant upgrades and modern features.
What all could change in iPhone SE 4?
One of the most notable changes in the iPhone SE 4 is its departure from the traditional design of its predecessors. The device is expected to adopt a look similar to the iPhone 14, featuring a full-screen display that measures approximately 6.1 inches. This means saying goodbye to the dated bezels and home button. Finally, Apple may ditch the home button on the iPhone.
This means that the device could feature Face ID for the first time. However, don’t go expecting Apple’s Dynamic Island as rumours suggest that Apple could go in for a notch design.
A camera upgrade in the offing
Despite the significant design changes, the iPhone SE 4 will maintain its signature single rear camera. However, this camera is set to receive substantial internal upgrades, ensuring that users can capture high-quality photos and videos. The iPhone SE 4 is also expected to come with a single 48-megapixel camera, which is a huge upgrade over the 12-megapixel camera sensor found in the previous generation model.
In terms of display, iPhone SE 4 could transition from an LCD to an OLED display. This change promises to deliver a range of benefits, including improved color accuracy and better overall visual quality.
Under the hood, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to be powered by Apple’s A18 chip. As per reports, the iPhone SE 4 might use the same chipset, which has been used in the iPhone 16 series. So if the rumours turn out to be true, the iPhone SE 4 despite being cheaper than the other iPhone models will feature the same chipset as the flagship iPhone 16 series.
