Apple expected to introduce revamped Siri with Apple Intelligence support in early 2025

Apple rolled out its latest iOS 18 operating system alongside its new iPhone 16 series. Many users were expecting Apple Intelligence (Apple’s AI services) to be featured in this new operating system. However, the company's advanced AI suite has yet to arrive on the stable iOS 18 update and is currently available on the developer beta iOS 18.1 update.

Among these AI-powered features, the revamped Siri with Apple Intelligence support was one of the major highlights during the WWDC 2024 event. However, its timeline is yet to be revealed. Thankfully, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has now shed light on the release date of Siri with Apple Intelligence.

According to Bloomberg’s report, the new Siri is expected to ship with iOS 18.3 and may arrive as early as January, potentially beating the previously tipped March rollout. Gurman has also mentioned that with every new iOS 18 update, we will get new Apple Intelligence features.

Currently, with the latest iOS 18.1 developer beta update, Apple has introduced Writing Tools, Photos Clean Up, and Notification Summaries AI capabilities. With the upcoming iOS 18.2 update, we can expect Image Playground, Genmoji, and ChatGPT integration in iOS 18. The fully revamped Siri with Apple Intelligence could have a developer preview with the iOS 18.3 update.

The Bloomberg report further adds that the new Siri will feature a glowing light that wraps around the edges of the screen when activated. It will offer a more visually engaging user experience.

Beyond its appearance, Apple is also enhancing Siri's functionality by improving its language-understanding capabilities. Siri will also be able to process and respond to user commands more naturally, like Open AI’s ChatGPT.

With these updates, Apple is positioning itself  to compete with Google, Microsoft, offering users a smarter, more intuitive Siri experience, which is yet to be matched by any other voice assistant.
