AI company Anthropic has launched a new blog called Claude Explains, but don’t be fooled by the name, the posts aren’t written entirely by AI.
The blog quietly went live last week and is filled with articles on topics like simplifying code or using AI for business. It’s meant to showcase the writing abilities of Claude, Anthropic’s AI model. But while Claude is involved in creating the content, humans still play a big role behind the scenes.
According to the company, each blog post begins with Claude’s draft, but then experts and editors step in to add examples, polish the writing, and make sure it all makes sense. “This isn’t just Claude’s raw output,” a spokesperson explained. “The content is a team effort.”
That detail isn’t obvious when you visit the blog. The homepage simply says it’s “where Claude is writing on every topic under the sun,” which might make readers think Claude is doing it all solo.
Anthropic says the goal is to show how AI and humans can work together — not replace each other. The company plans to use Claude Explains to cover everything from creative writing to data analysis and business advice.
This move comes at a time when many media and tech companies are experimenting with AI-generated content. Some, like Gannett and Bloomberg, have faced backlash over mistakes in AI-written stories. Others, like The New York Times and The Washington Post, are cautiously exploring how AI can support journalists.
Despite leaning into AI tools, Anthropic says it’s still hiring writers, editors, and marketers. So while Claude may be helping out, it looks like humans aren’t going anywhere — at least not yet.
