AMD has announced that the Ryzen 9 X3D processors will hit the shelves globally on March 12 with an MSRP of $699 for the Ryzen 9 9950X3D and $599 for the Ryzen 9 9900X3D.

As per AMD, the Ryzen 9 9950X3D desktop processor’s 16 “Zen 5” cores leverage 2nd Gen 3D V-Cache technology to deliver higher clock speeds and better thermal performance for gamers and creators. AMD has combined its flagship Ryzen 9000X3D Series processors with up to 144MB of on-chip memory, paired with the “most advanced processor cores you can get in a gaming PC”.

Boost/Base Clock: Up to 5.7 / 4.3 GHz

Cache: 144 MB

TDP: 170W

With the one-click Precision Boost Overdrive feature, the AMD Ryzen processors can be tweaked for personalised performance. Or, if gamers want to tweak and tune manually, they can use the AMD Ryzen Master utility.

The AMD Extended Profiles for Overclocking (AMD EXPO Technology) is created for AMD Ryzen processors on socket AM5. AMD claims that “users get easy DDR5 memory overclocking with AMD Ryzen-optimized profiles for the best performance and experience”.

AMD recently unveiled the RDNA 4 graphics architecture with the launch of the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 graphics cards as a part of the Radeon RX 9000 series. As per AMD, the new graphics cards feature 16GB of memory and extensive improvements designed for high-quality gaming graphics, including revamped ray tracing accelerators and powerful AI accelerators.

The Radeon RX 9070 Series offers 16GB of GDDR6 memory, allowing gamers to render the most exciting games of today and tomorrow at max settings. Compared to the previous generation RX 7900 GRE, the latest AMD Radeon RX 9070 is able to deliver over 20% more performance on average when gaming at 1440, with the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT extending that lead to over 40% on average, claims AMD.
