Ravindra Jadeja's wife sparks fresh controversy

Rivaba Jadeja, the Minister for Tribal Development, Primary, Secondary and Adult Education of Gujarat, also the wife of India's premier all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, has sparked controversy with her recent remarks. A video has emerged online where Rivaba claimed that many cricketers while travelling abroad indulge in wrongful activities. She then lauded her husband from being away from it and maintaining his integrity.

As reported by News 18, she stated that her husband could’ve also indulged in the same but he understands his responsibilities as a professional cricketer.

Rivaba, however, left social media guessing by not taking any names.

Jadeja holds the reputation of being one of the finest all-rounders and a gun fielder. He announced his retirement from T20Is along with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli last year after winning the T20 World Cup.

He was also part of a mega trade deal involving Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals before the franchise released their retention list. Jadeja along with Sam Curran were traded by the Yellow Army to the Royals for Sanju Samson.

Jadeja also took a pay cut as part of the deal with his fees now revised to Rs 14 crore from the previous Rs 18 crore. He is being projected as one of the players who could possibly fill in the vacant captaincy position at the franchise.
