PBKS vs DC Highlights, IPL 2025: Already-eliminated Delhi Capitals (DC) ended their Indian Premier League (IPL) with a consolation six-wicket victory against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday. DC chased down the 207-run target with three balls to spare to end their campaign on a high.

Here are the five points that determined the outcome of the match:

Shreyas Iyer makes a statement:

On a day when Shreyas Iyer was not named in the Indian squad for the England Test tour, the Punjab Kings captain made a fine statement with the bat, hitting a 34-ball 53 with the help of 2 sixes and 5 fours. Iyer has led from the front and with 435 runs from 12 matches, is his team’s second highest run-scorer.

Stoinis' blistering knock:

Aussie all-rounder Marcus Stoinis smashed 4 sixes and 3 fours in his unbeaten knock of 16-ball 44 to take the Punjab score over the 200-run mark. Stoinis, who returned to the team after recovering from COVID, took Mohit Sharma to the cleaners in the penultimate over of the Punjab innings slamming 2 sixes and 2 fours in the over to power his team to 206/8.

DC’s fine start:

DC openers KL Rahul and Faf du Plessis, who had failed in the last must-win match against Mumbai Indians, gave the run chase a brisk start. Rahul (35) and Du Plessis (23) put up a 55-run stand in just over 5 overs to lay the platform for the run chase, before falling in successive overs.

Karun Nair keeps DC in the hunt:

Karun Nair, who made a comeback to the Indian Test team after more than 7 years, kept DC in the hunt with a 44-run knock that came off 27 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 5 fours. Nair was just threatening to take the match away from Punjab when he was clean bowled while attempting a sweep shot against Harpreet Brar.

Sameer Rizvi’s match-winning knock:

Rizvi remained unbeaten on 58 off 25 balls and finished the match with a six to take his team to a consolation victory in the company of Tristan Stubbs (18*).
