There's little over a week left for the IPL 2025 mega auction and there are some spinners, who are anticipated to go big at the two-day event, which will be held on November 24-25 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. All franchises have announced their retention list and defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) arguably find themselves in the strongest position as far as spin bowling is concerned. Washington SundarSundar's impressive performances in recent Test outing against New Zealand must have caught the eye of the franchises. He can contribute with both bat and ball and has 37 wickets under his name, which he took in 60 matches. He is one of the players expected to trigger a bidding war among the franchises.

The Sri Lanka all-rounder was part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru from 2021 to 2023 and claimed 35 wickets in 26 matches. He was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 auction but was ruled out of the tournament due to a chronic heel injury in his left foot.
