The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega-auction is just around the corner and some big names will go under the hammer on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah. Apart from big stars like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and more, several underrated performers will also enter auction and they can be smart investments for teams looking to increase the depth of their squads. Among some of the released players, some have been consistent and have proved themselves in recent seasons but despite these performances they have been let go by their teams.
With franchises retaining 48 players ahead of the auction, 204 spots will be up for grabs from the pool of 1,574 registered players. Among them, several underrated talents have the potential to command significant bids and prove their worth once again.
Here are 7 underrated players who could earn big bucks at auction:
Noor Ahmad
GT have retained Rashid Khan for Rs 18 crore but have released his Afghanistan teammate Noor Ahmad. Dubbed as 'Rashid's mirror image' has been impressive previous IPL seasons and he is surely going to attract numerous teams at the auction.

Will Jacks
In 8 matches last season, Will Jacks scored 230 at a strike rate of 175.57 for RCB. His best knock came against GT where he smashed a 41-ball century. Jacks can earn big in the auction or could be seen back in the RCB camp if the franchise decides to use to the Right-to-Match card.
T Natarajan
T Natarajan, the left-arm pacer from Tamil Nadu, has made a rapid rise in the IPL, establishing himself as a key player in T20 cricket. Known for his lethal bowling in the death stage, Natarajan claimed 19 wickets in the IPL 2024 season for SRH.
Ajinkya Rahane
Ajinkya Rahane is a veteran Indian batter primarily known for his Test cricket prowess. However, in IPL 2023 after being picked by Chennai Super Kings, Rahane silenced his critics with an aggressive approach helping the team to win it's fifth IPL title.
