Former Indian players stood as one and voiced their discontent playing against Pakistan during the current World Championship of Legends (WCL) in England. The match was canceled when players like Shikhar Dhawan, Yusuf Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, and others refused to play because of political tensions between India and Pakistan. The two teams were supposed to play on Sunday. The WCL organizers posted a message on their X account explaining the cancellation decision and stating that they wanted to recreate some "happy memories" during the event.
Following the cancellation of the India-Pakistan match, a photo of Bollywood star Ajay Devgn with former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi has gone popular on social media. It's important to note that Ajay shares ownership of the current WCL.
Fans are criticizing Ajay for meeting and posing with the former Pakistani cricketer, who made fun of the Indian army during the border disputes between the two nations.

As for the current season, the India-Pakistan league stage match was canceled, but if both sides qualify, they can face each other again in the knockouts. If both India and Pakistan advance to the semi-finals and win their respective penultimate matches, a final between them is also a likely possibility, so the organizers already need to be ready for such a scenario.
In response to a question concerning the tournament's immediate future, Pakistan Champions owner Kamil Khan stated that there would be no changes to the WCL schedule going forward. He added that if the two teams play one other again in the knockout stages, WCL would have to intervene.
"All the remaining matches are taking place. The tournament is going on as per schedule, and there are no changes. As for the semifinals and final, we're currently saying that if we make it to the semifinals, there will be four teams, and we will avoid matches between the two teams," he said.
